ThinkOceanfront.com is an Internet-based business that deploys technology to match buyers and sellers of Outer Banks oceanfront real estate. Along with the website, our team delivers concierge-level service that is tailored to this high-end segment of the market.

At the center of the team is Scott Wheeler, a broker with Brindley Beach Vacations and Sales in Corolla. Assistance is provided by a small group of video and still photographers, graphic artists and Internet specialists.

Today’s real estate shoppers use the Internet as their primary research tool, and we understand that. Nearly all of the owners and buyers of oceanfront properties live and work outside of the OBX area. Our website is designed for these long-distance customers, offering them the information and up-to-date listings they need. Everything on our site is targeted exclusively to the oceanfront clientele so that these buyers can be informed and  able to narrow down their search in an easy and efficient manner.

We also create full-motion, highly produced video tours (“MiniMovies”) that are designed to show the interior features of houses to customers who are viewing from a distance or when the property is occupied by renters.

Who is Scott Wheeler?

With a video and advertising background, Scott is a strong believer in using modern media to present an idea. In his former business life as owner of Metro Video in Virginia, Wheeler started Outer Banks TV 12 and worked with most of the businesses on the Outer Banks during the boom of the 1980s and ‘90s. Through producing long-form videos for real estate clients, he learned the craft of how to sell vacation properties through high-impact visual marketing. His national real estate clients included Marriot Vacation Club, Sunterra and Fairfield Resorts.

After an early retirement from the video-production field, Wheeler got his agent’s and broker’s licenses in Florida and Virginia and entered the real estate business. He moved to Corolla full time three years ago, joined Brindley Beach and became impressed with how different the real estate picture is on the Outer Banks from other areas. Wheeler knows that the Internet is the perfect way to connect with Outer Banks buyers and sellers. He created ThinkOceanfront.com as an interactive platform to present high-end properties, engage oceanfront clients and deliver top-quality professional service.
